Work one on one with industry pro Joshua Nicholson on creating a demo reel. Designed for those wanting to enter the voice over industry, Joshua will coach you through the recording of a short reel [Joshua’s current demos]. Sonic-Con Sunday is your opportunity to worship alongside fellow artists as we give honor and praise to the One who inspires us and speaks to us daily through his written word. We are honored to bring convention-goers together for this special time of worship, prayer and Phil Lollar’s message: “You Can’t Stop the Story, Mal.”
Pair up with another convention-goer to create a 2-page script in one hour. Then, spend another hour rehearsing its performance, both vocally and with simple Foley SFX. This 2-hour competition is designed to be fast and fun. Entries will present their new works for critique by industry pro Joshua Nicholson. Audience favorites will be awarded.
Listen and enjoy a live podcast from Audio Theatre Central as they give you an in-depth look at some of your favorite shows like Adventures in Odyssey and Lamplighter Theatre, discuss the audio theatre industry, and share about shows you may not have heard about yet!
The Listening Lounge will feature opportunities for fans of podcasts and other audio theatre selections to gather, listen, and talk about the show. Designed to be casual and laid-back, these late-night activities are fun ways to end the evening.
During the convention make sure you walk through the Art Gallery, where the works of Ryan Brothers, conceptual artist for The Encounter, will be on display. Ryan currently works as a Background/Layout Artist for Powerhouse Animation. In addition, check out the works of James Howard and his conceptual work with the new series, The Scholar House, and Sam Van Fossen, a freelance cartoonist who also voices the character, Cwrig, with The Encounter.
Family-friendly fare will be on display in our Exhibition Hall. Convention-goers will have opportunities to connect with others in the audio drama industry and be introduced to new shows.

Connect with Katie over cookies and milk and hear more about her career as a voice over actress.
